architect. This is a valuable exemption for homeowners as it keeps the cost of building and owning a home down (the code authors prudently
recognized that there will never be enough architects to keep up with the demand, nor is there need for every structure to be designed by an
architect - public buildings and commercial structures over certain square footages are most notably those exclusive to the licensed
architect). Laws vary somewhat State to State and municipality to municipality; we will let you know if there are restrictions in your locale.
